Holistic development includes physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, moral, and cognitive development associated with healthy living. Sneh Social Welfare Foundation conducts various activities, and events meant for the overall holistic improvement of the society who are underprivileged.

The role of social welfare is to represent prospective patterns of collective choice as to alternative social states for achieving the optimal distribution of income. We bridge the gap by joint efforts with a team of like-minded professionals and volunteers.

Our students came together to celebrate Saraswati Puja with great devotion and joy. Children actively participated in the preparations such as decorating the place, offering flowers and arranging puja materials. They participated in the prayers with enthusiasm and respect, creating a peaceful and positive atmosphere full of warmth and togetherness.

The celebration helped students understand the importance of culture, tradition and appreciation for learning. It was a beautiful experience of commitment and collective effort, where children expressed their creativity and felt proud to be part of a meaningful cultural event. This activity not only strengthened their emotional bond but also instilled the values of respect, unity and devotion.

On January 15, our students participated in a meaningful community outreach activity by packaging and distributing halwa. They were actively involved in the whole process of careful packing, ensuring hygiene and organizing the delivery with enthusiasm and responsibility. Children showed great interest and teamwork while preparing the packages, which helped them understand the importance of discipline, coordination and following simple instructions in real life.

This activity proved to be a fantastic learning experience, helping students build practical life skills, confidence and social interaction skills. When they set out to distribute halwa, they experienced the joy of giving and contributing to the community. It instilled in them the values of kindness, sharing and empathy, while giving them a strong sense of purpose and achievement. Overall, this initiative was both enriching and empowering for our students.

On the first day of 2026, students started the new year with an act of kindness by participating in the Bhandara distribution. The activity reflected the values of compassion, sharing and gratitude, as children came together to spread positivity and goodwill at the start of the year.

Students participated with enthusiasm and sincerity, understanding the importance of serving others and giving back to society. Starting the new year with such a meaningful initiative instilled moral values, social responsibility and empathy among the children, making the occasion purposeful and memorable.

On December 31, the students marked the last day of the year by participating in the Halwa distribution activity which reflects the spirit of compassion and solidarity. This activity was planned to encourage social awareness and a sense of responsibility among the children so that they could participate in a meaningful act of service.

The students were actively involved in packing the halwa, which was done together with care and teamwork. This hands-on experience helped the children understand the value of cooperation, patience and sharing. The activity not only promoted life skills and teamwork, but also provided a sense of satisfaction to the students, making it a thoughtful and positive end to the year.

Students of Holy Heart Special School attended the Cyber Suraksha Plus Workshop conducted by the NIIT Foundation under the CSR initiative of Cisco. The session focused on creating awareness about cyber safety and responsible digital behaviour. During the workshop, trainers explained the importance of protecting personal information, identifying unsafe online situations, and using digital platforms carefully. The content was presented in a simple, interactive way, making it easy for students to understand and participate.

The resource persons also guided the children on recognising cyber threats, avoiding unsafe interactions, and seeking help from trusted adults when needed. Teachers accompanying the students supported the learning process and encouraged them to follow safe online practices. The workshop proved to be highly beneficial, empowering students with essential knowledge to navigate the digital world more confidently and responsibly.

An awareness session on Good Touch and Bad Touch was organized for the students of Holy Heart Special School. A visiting advocate conducted the session, explaining the concept in a simple and age-appropriate manner to help children understand personal safety and boundaries. Through interactive discussions and examples, the students learned how to identify safe and unsafe touch and the importance of immediately informing a trusted adult in case they ever feel uncomfortable.

The session aimed to empower students with knowledge and confidence to protect themselves. It also encouraged open communication between children and teachers, creating a safe and supportive environment within the school. The initiative was a valuable step toward ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of every student, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic child safety education.

On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the students of Holy Heart Special School took part in a noble act of kindness by packing halwa prasad for distribution among people in need. The prasad was prepared beforehand, and the children joyfully participated in the packing process, ensuring each portion was neatly and lovingly packed. Their enthusiasm and dedication reflected their respect for the spirit of Seva — the selfless service emphasized by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

This activity provided the students with an opportunity to learn the values of compassion, sharing, and community service. As they helped distribute the prasad, their faces lit up with happiness, experiencing the true joy of giving. The event served as a beautiful lesson in empathy and humanity, inspiring the children to carry forward the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in their everyday lives.

As part of the school’s ongoing commitment to student health and well-being, a routine full-body checkup was organized for all hostel students. This comprehensive medical examination, conducted by a professional healthcare team, covered all essential health parameters to ensure that each child remains physically fit and healthy. The initiative aimed at early detection of any potential health issues and provided valuable guidance for maintaining overall wellness among the students.

The health checkup is a regular biannual practice at the hostel, conducted every six months to continuously monitor the health status of all residents. This proactive approach not only helps in maintaining a safe and hygienic living environment but also reassures parents that their children are being cared for with the utmost attention. Through such consistent health monitoring, the school reinforces its dedication to providing holistic care and a nurturing atmosphere for all hostel students.

Students of Holy Heart Special School participated in a Diwali Stall Event organized at Sobha Society, Gurgaon, where they showcased handcrafted products made by children with special needs. The stall attracted many visitors from the society who appreciated the creativity, effort, and dedication of the students. The warm response and encouragement from the visitors made the experience even more special for the children.

The event offered an excellent opportunity for the students to display their vocational skills and interact confidently with the public. It helped them gain valuable exposure and boosted their confidence, communication, and social abilities. The participation truly reflected the school’s commitment to promoting inclusion and self-reliance among children with special needs.
