Holistic development includes physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, moral, and cognitive development associated with healthy living. Sneh Social Welfare Foundation conducts various activities, and events meant for the overall holistic improvement of the society who are underprivileged.

The role of social welfare is to represent prospective patterns of collective choice as to alternative social states for achieving the optimal distribution of income. We bridge the gap by joint efforts with a team of like-minded professionals and volunteers.

‘SPORTS IS FOR ALL’

Holy Heart Special School (A unit of: Sneh Social Welfare Foundation) organized Sports Meet-2023 for the children with special needs.

It was our humble endeavor to provide a platform to children with special needs to showcase their abilities, skills and strength through the joy of sports. The event was held on 11th March 2023 (Saturday) at Dr. Sahib Singh Verma Stadium, Sector – 16, Dwarka, New Delhi. Event was started with March Pas, Torch Run & Oath Ceremony.

We invited 14 schools to be a part of this event. This event was classified into following categories: Track Events (50 Mtr Run, 25 Mtr Run & 10 Mtr Assisted Walk) | Field Event (Soft Ball Throw & Shot put)

All the students were prized with medals and certificates. Refreshment was distributed to all. The coaches were from Special Olympics Bharat and volunteers were from Amity University. To entertain our champs, tattoo makers & mickey mouse was also there. All the students and staff enjoyed with them a lot.

Shivratri is an auspicious Hindu festival, among the 12 Shivratri celebrated in a year, Maha Shivratri is the most important and celebrated one. Shivratri is an amalgamation of two words, Shiv and Ratri, meaning the night of Lord Shiva.

We celebrated Maha Shivratri with great enthusiasm. Bhandara was organized for the needy people and it was distributed by our students. Students recited the "Om Namah Shivaya" mantra. Moreover, teachers enlightened students on the lessons they can learn from lord Shiva.

As we stepped into new year, Bhandara was organized by our organization. 

Speaking on the occasion of New Year’s, Our organization wished for the well being of all the people & prayed to God that everyone gets a square meal & no one sleeps empty stomach in this winter
season.

We request everyone to arrange maximum ‘Bhandaras’. One should feed needy people and help the underprivileged segment of society.

Our organization provided healthy, nourishing and hygienic food to about 500+ Needy at Near our school. We request everyone to arrange maximum ‘Bhandaras’. One should feed needy people and help the underprivileged segment of society.

As a token of appreciation and support, and as comm unity social responsibility, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (Noida) organized Diwali Mela for showcasing the skilled abilities of Persons with Disabilities on Wednesday, 19th October 2022 from 11:00 A.M to 4:30 P.M.

We with immense pleasure joined this event to put up their stalls with Diwali products in the Amity University Noida premises which has a footfall of thousands of students and staff members. The objectives of the Diwali Ability Mela were to create Disability acceptance and awareness, promoting Inclusion & Diversity in the Campus.

Our children participated and with great enthusiasm showed their products to the amity’s students and staffs. This type of stall motivates the children with special needs a lot. It was a great pleasure for our students to attend this event.

United Schools Organization of India (USO) organized a 2-day Diwali Mela (Thursday, October 13, 2022 and Friday, October 14, 2022) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. USO Member Schools / Institutions who cater to the needs of Specially-Abled students were invited to use this as a platform to showcase the work of their school students and offer Diwali-related articles for sale at nominal prices.

Our children participated in this event and sold their made products. It was very motivating for our children; they showed their products to the people with the confidence. In these 2 days, our children learned a lot about how to deal with people and people were also very impressed with our kids.

Overall, these 2 days were very useful for our kids they learned a lot.

5th Diwali Utsav Career Fair was organized by Sanskriti School. This event was to be held on Saturday, 8th October 2022 from 8:00 am till 1:00 pm, in their school auditorium.

The students of our school participated by putting up a stall and showcasing our incredible products.

The parents of the students of Sanskriti school joined this event and the children took these products and motivated them and the school staff also encouraged our students a lot. Students handled the shop under supervision of our staff. they enjoyed a lot.

On 2nd October 2022 (Sunday), On the occasion of Navratri one of our parents invited our students in their society to put up a stall and showcasing our products.

Our children showed their products to the people of the society and the people of the society were very happy to see the products of our children. They appreciated our children very much. They asked our students how you made all this and students shared the details with them. everyone was very happy with the students. It was a really very nice experience for the students. This type of stall motivates the children with special needs a lot.

People in the society who were not aware of the disability also came to know about the disability and gave their blessings to the children. Thank you to all! and special thanks to our parent for giving us this opportunity.

Dyslexia Awareness Week takes place in the month of October, usually within the first week.

The mission of Dyslexia Awareness Month is to join the world of dyslexia with united campaigns. Everyone can take part in this challenge by promoting awareness in so many different ways.

We spread awareness by choosing to wear read clothes on World Dyslexia Day. #GoRedForDyslexia!
